JUNE STAMP CLASS PROJECTS

*** DON'T FORGET to join in on my DESIGNER PAPER SHARES and RIBBON SHARE! Get a sampling of the new designer papers and ribbons from the NEW '09-'10 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog! ***

I had the nicest group of ladies at my home last night for stamp class! It's so fun to be around people that speak your "stampin' language"! I would guess that most of you know exactly what I mean by that!

Here are the class projects ....

This first card is a case between Dawn Easton's Sunflower card and Laurie Froehlich's Sunflower Thanks card. The sunflowers are created by punch Summer Sun CS with the Scallop Circle Punch, then cutting toward the center between each scallop. The leaves were created by punching Kiwi Kiss CS with the 5-Petal Flower Punch, then cutting off two "petals" for leaves.

This is a card I designed a couple of weeks ago (seen here). The original used Basic Gray with So Saffron. Our class card used Pink Pirouette with Basic Gray. TO THE NINES MASCULINE

I've been on summer break from work (I work at a school), and have been having a blast stamping every day! I have a new job for next school year -- same school district, new school, new position. I am in training for it this week which leaves little time for stamping. So, for this week's blog material I thought I'd share with you some designs that I've CASEd (Copy And Steal/Share Everything) recently.

This card CASEs Jill Hilliard's Manchester Masculine card. I love it when I find a great design for a masculine card! I paired my version with To The Nines Specialty Designer Paper, and used the same stamp set that Jill did - Think Happy Thoughts.RECIPE
Stamps: Think Happy Thoughts
Paper: To The Nines Specialty DP, Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, and Sahara Sand CS
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Embellishments: Silver Brads, Star Brad from Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon
Tools: Star Punch, 1/2", 3/4", 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches
Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals

COURTNEY'S 1st BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE

This little sweetheart is Libby Hickson's daughter Courtney, and she's celebrating her first birthday today! For the past year, Libby has been holding "From Courtney's Closet Challenges" each week on her blog, Libby's Little Addiction, where she dresses Courtney up in one of her cute outfits, and encourages others to use it as inspiration for a card. It's about the cutest idea I've ever seen for a stamping challenge! It has been so much fun seeing photos of Courtney each week during her first year, and am thrilled to help Libby celebrate this special event, along with these other talented ladies ...

Carole Burrage, Mother's Little Helper

Leslie Miller, Running With Scissors
Maria Gurnsey, Scraps by M
Melissa Sauls, In Stamping Mode
Rose Ann Reynolds, Paper Delightz
Sue Kment, Sue's Stamping Stuff

Libby has some amazing and generous blog candy to give away too! Check it out HERE!

Here's my card inspired by Courtney's "Cute As A Cupcake" shirt ...

FLOWER FUSION for CUPCAKE CHALLENGE

Oh boy did it ever feel good to stamp yesterday! I really should have been cleaning house but my foot is still killin' me (plantar fasciitis) so I thought I had better stay off of it. Lucky for me, I stamp sitting down! LOL!

This card uses Taylor VanBruggen's Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #29 (TECC29). I chose to use Stampin' Up!'s Flower Fusion for my circles on the sketch, and the "happy birthday" sentiment is from Think Happy Thoughts. It's probably difficult to see in the photo, but the Basic Black background panel was run through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and mounted on a Whisper White base. The overall card measures 4 3/4" x 4 3/4". RECIPE
Stamps: Think Happy Thoughts
Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black, Rose Red, and Old Olive CS
Ink: Basic Black

Embellishments: Flower Fusion, Black Brads
Tools: Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (non-SU), 3/4", 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches
Supplies: Pop-Up Glue Dots, Mini Glue Dots

FUNKY RETRO UPTOWN

This card combines SCS Color Challenge 175 of Almost Amethyst, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron and Lynda Benden's Sketch Challenge Tuesday from 7/08/08.

I was thrilled with this week's color challenge ... I immediately thought of the retired Uptown designer papers. I have alot of it left and barely used any when it was in the last catalog. The dp panel with circles have other circles from another piece of the same dp that have been punched out with various sizes of circle punches and popped up on stampin' dimensionals.

Lynda's sketch really caught my eye, as I'm a sucker for a sketch with several interesting layers ... perfect with Stampin' Up Designer Papers!

RECIPE
Stamps: Think Happy Thoughts
Paper: Uptown DP (retired), Almost Amethyst, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, and Whisper White CS
Ink: Wild Wasabi and Versamark
Embellishments: Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, So Saffron Brad, Dew Drops (non-SU)
Tools:
Various Circle Punches

Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals, Tombow Adhesive
