INSPIRED BUTTERFLY for CREATE WITH... and COLOR THROWDOWN

This is one of those cards that I'm not going to disclose how long it took me to design it! I fiddled and fiddled with it throughout the day until finally coming up with an acceptable overall design that I'm pretty happy with. I combined two challenges: Create with Connie & Mary Sketch Challenge #106 and Color Throwdown #1oo of Real Red, Regal Rose, Baja Breeze, and Certainly Celery. I have always loved Real Red and Regal Rose together ... add some blue and green and you've got one terrific color combo!

INSPIRED BUTTERFLY OASIS

Oh, is it ever fun to be on summer break ... just stamping away, sleeping in, and taking a nap whenever I want! I could really get used to this! My card was inspired by Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #119. I used Flight of the Butterfly and Inspired by Nature with Island Oasis Designer Paper from the 2010 Summer Mini Catalog.

SWEET SUNDAY CAT TAILS

I've seen other stampers make cat tails with the Horizontal Slot Punch and Inspired by Nature grass image, and knew I had to try it! Living in the Arizona desert for the past 25 years, it's been a long time since I've seen real cat tails. I used Sweet Sunday Sketch #43 to make this masculine card for John's uncle who is in the hospital. The sun/moon was created using the Reverse Masking Technique ... punch a 1 3/4" circle out of a scratch piece of cardstock and use the negative as a template to sponge the inside of the circle with More Mustard ink.

INSPIRED BY NATURE RAK

Super sweet, thoughtful Lorri Heiling mailed this beautiful RAK to me using the new stamp set, Inspired By Nature. You'll find it on page 100 of the new Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book & Catalog. I love how Lorri stamped the "you definition" from Define Your Life on the Twill Tape! CLEVER!
