BABY SHOWER CARDS

I was asked by my cousin Jami to make some baby shower cards for her, and this is the card I designed. The main image was CASEd from THIS CARD by Chat (nitestamper on SCS).

I included this close-up photo of the main image from So Many Scallops to show you the dimension. The image was stamped twice in Certainly Celery, and once in So Saffron. The So Saffron moon and the "Sweet One" Certainly Celery portion were both cut out and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
RECIPE
Stamps: So Many Scallops (retired)
Paper: Delicate Dots (retired), Whisper White, Bashful Blue, and Certainly Celery CS
Ink: Certainly Celery and So Saffron
Embellishments: So Saffron 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (retired)
Tools: Scallop Circle Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (non-SU)
Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals

SCS FEATURED STAMPER CHALLENGE FS92 WENDYBELL

I think my mojo is back, as I was able to complete three card designs this morning. I'll be sharing them with you throughout the week.

This card is a case of THIS CARD by Wendybell, SCS Featured Stamper #92. The changes I made include using a different Cuttlebug embossing folder, adding Silver Stickles, using different ribbon (Baja Breeze 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon), and a different stamp for the sentiment (mine is from last year's Sale-a-Bration stamp set, So Many Scallops), and I flipped the sketch. Ignore my one Stickles smudge on the left side ... ugh!RECIPE
Stamps: So Many Scallops (retired Sale-a-Bration)
Paper: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and Whisper White CS
Ink: Not Quite Navy
Embellishments: Styled Silver HPH, Baja Breeze 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Stickles (non-SU)
Tools: Cuttlebug and Snowflake Embossing Folder
Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals

MARCH STAMP CLASS PROJECTS

These are the projects I had available at my March Stamp Classes .. four cards featuring Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, and one Easter card. We had such a great time at both classes ... I've got the BEST customers/friends anyone could ask for!

This first card was designed with the help of SCS Sketch Challenge 166 (SC166). The chick/egg image from A Good Egg stamp set was stamped four times; once on Whisper White, once on So Saffron, and twice on the Certainly Celery polka dot from Spring Fling DP. There is paper piercing horizontally across the top and bottom border of the Pretty In Pink CS base. Inspired by speedystamper's card HERE.
RECIPE
Stamps: A Good Egg
Paper: Spring Fling DP, Pretty In Pink, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, and Whisper White CS
Ink: Basic Black Classic Ink Pad, Pumpkin Pie Marker for chick’s nose
Embellishments: Pretty In Pink Taffeta Ribbon, So Saffron or Certainly Celery Buttons
Tools: Paper Snips, Paper Piercing Tool/Mat/Template
Supplies: Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

This next card uses SAB Birthday Whimsy and is cased from Jean Stayton's original HERE. Jean's new blog is Bear Hugs and Inky Paws. I love the way Jean used a portion of the Scallop Punch for the icing on the cake, along with the Trio Flower Punch and Brad. The White Gel Pen was used to add dots to each scallop, and Diamond Stickles (non-SU) were used on the birthday candles.

FEBRUARY weSTAMP SWAP

Earlier this week we held our monthly weSTAMP demonstrator support group meeting. This group consists of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from the creative teams/downline of Lorri Heiling (Confessions of A Stamping Addict) and myself.

NOW is the ideal time to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator because during Sale-A-Bration (now until March 17) you can purchase the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Starter Kit (a $330 value) for just $159. That's 20% off the regular price! PLUS, you'll receive ANY FREE STAMP SET of your choice from the new Spring-Summer Collection - up to a $47.95 value! One of the perks of becoming a SU Demo on my creative team is the opportunity to participate in our monthly weSTAMP swap, whether local or out of town. Please contact me via e-mail for more details .... nrileycm@cox.net.

This first card was our Make & Take provided by our hostess, Lorri Heiling. The original design of this card came from our ever-so-talented friend, Chat Wszelaki, Me, My Stamps, And I ... aka nitestamper on SCS. Click HERE for all the details on Chat's original design.

In case you're new to stamping and wondering what a swap is ... each month there is a theme ... this month's "theme" was to make a card using ANY new stamp set from the new Spring-Summer '08 Collection, the Sale-A-Bration, or Occasions Mini. Next month's theme is to create a card or 3-D item with Mother's Day as the theme. There is a deadline for the participation rsvp, then a final count is done. If there are ten people participating in the swap, you would design or case one card and make ten of them to bring (or mail) to the meeting. Then, at the meeting we exchange (and ooohhh and aaahhhh over) our cards. Each participant goes home with ten cards of ten different designs. A great way to have numerous cards to display at classes!

Here are our swap cards for this month ...
