Welcome to iPICKS where I post a selection of my favorite Stampin' Up! cards and projects by other talented stamping artists. There's no formal rules or guidelines ... just inspiring projects that catch my eye, clever ideas, and exceptional designs. These are projects that inspire me and I hope they inspire you too! Please click on each link to go directly to the artist's blog for more information about the artist and their project.
iPICKS #143 ...
Boy, oh boy!!! I sure wasn't expecting an overwhelming 255 comments of support to my last post! I had no idea how much appreciation there is for my iPICKS efforts! Stampers are the nicest people! THANK YOU !!!!
Many of you apologized for not leaving comments before today. There is no need to apologize! I know better than anyone how time consuming it is to leave comments, and I am more guilty than anyone for not leaving them!
Another perk to all those sweet comments was that I found several new blogs to be inspired by! If you have a blog with mostly Stampin' Up! artwork you think I might not be aware of, feel free to bring it to my attention in a comment post, and I'll be sure to add it to my Google Reader.
One more thing .... several of you asked about how my daughter is doing since her accident last summer. She is completely recovered, and has been back at college since January. Thanks for asking, and thanks for all the prayers and support!
I'll be back with iPICKS 143 in a few hours!
Last week, I received a comment on my iPICKS post that I'd like to address...
anonymous said ..."I think it is really crappy that you take other peoples projects and post them to get your blog ratings up. Why don't you just post your OWN projects rather than trying to benefit from other people's hard work."
My response: I don't play the blog ratings game. I don't even know how to look at my ratings, or even interpret them! The only monetary profit I make as a result of my blog is an occasional Stampin' Up! order though my demonstrator website link, and those occasional orders help me make my minimum quarter sales that I often struggle to reach! I have a full-time job outside of the home that keeps me from working my SU business in a profitable manner, and am a hobby demonstrator.
I clearly state in my iPICKS that the projects are not my designs, provide links to the designers' websites, and even encourage readers to click on them. The benefits I receive from iPICKS? ... I get to see my favorite projects from the week in one spot, and I know there are other stampers out there who truly enjoy the weekly post. I am sincerely inspired by each project I post, and just simply want to share. In all the 142 iPICKS, I have never had an artist complain, and hope that if anyone did have a problem with me sharing their projects they would simply let me know - nicely. If you've followed my blog for any length of time, you would know that I do share my artwork. My job and other personal tragedies over the past couple of years have understandably taken away from much of my crafting time.
So, "Anonymous" .... there you have it. Thanks for making me feel crappy with your rude, unfair, and misinformed comment. Not!
On the other hand, thank you to all the talented cyber stamping friends who left kind comments of support for my iPICKS posts! I'll be back tomorrow night with iPICKS #143!
