LIMITED SUPPLY SNOWFLAKES

I am rarely able to participate in the Limited Supply Challenge on SCS, and was thrilled to have a chance to tackle it today! Here is the criteria for today's SCS Limited Supply Challenge #197:

1. The only image stamps/embossing you may use are snowflakes. Yup! Only snowflakes (or something that looks like falling snow). No snowmen, snowwomen or anything, just snowflakes! The same goes for patterned paper . . . it must be snowflakes!! (Get the idea?)
2. Your creation must be monochromatic.
3. You need to add some sort of “bling” or sparkle to your card. Stickles, rhinestones, shimmery paper or ribbon . . . make it sparkly!!
4. Last, but certainly not least . . . sentiments may be ONE WORD only!

Originally, I was fiddling around with Baja Breeze as my monochromatic color. Lorri Heiling was over this afternoon delivering another meal provided by the weSTAMP girls (I know! Can you believe it?! They are sooo awesome!) ... when I mentioned the designer paper obstacle. Lorri reminded me of the snowflake paper in last year's Wintergreen designer paper ... BINGO! I shifted gears and ended with this card. It's a whole lot better IRL ... it was really hard to get a good picture of this card! In case you can't tell, Sage Shadow is the monochromatic color, the snowflakes are from Little Felt Flurries in the Holiday Mini Catalog, and the bling is self-adhesive rhinestones in the center of the snowflakes (non-SU). The long Sage Shadow panel behind the snowflakes was run through my Cuttlebug with the Snowflakes Embossing Folder. The one word sentiment "Peace" is from a retired stamp set called Perfect Ending. I used the Scallop Edge Punch along the edge of the card, then pierced a hole in the center of each scallop with a Paper Piercer. Card size is 3 1/4" x 6 1/2".RECIPE
Stamps: "peace" sentiment from Perfect Ending (retired)
Paper: Wintergreen DP, Sage Shadow and Whisper White CS
Ink: Sage Shadow Classic Ink Pad
Embellishments: Little Felt Flurries, Whisper White Tafetta Ribbon, Self-Adhesive Rhinestones (non-SU)
Tools: Scallop Edge Punch, Paper Piercer, Snowflake Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (non-SU), Word Window Punch
Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals

SCS LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE 124

I must have taken 30+ photos of this card, and just couldn't get the colors to show up well. Sorry!

The sentiment "thank you" is in the center of the top middle flower, and the sentiment "friend" is in the center of the right flower. There is a So Saffron Brad in the center of the left flower. All three flower centers are punched with the 1/4" circle punch and adhered with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Here are the requirements of today's SCS Limited Supply Challenge 124, "Message Bouquets":
Flowers: stamped flowers, punched flowers, silk flowers, etc.
Bouquet: 2 or more flowers
Stamps: sentiments or letters to spell out a sentiment + any backgrounds and flowers

Embellishments: 2 or less
Tools: any

ANOTHER SCS LIMITED SUPPLY CHALLENGE 123

Here is another challenge card SCS Limited Supply Challenge 123. See my previous post for the challenge criteria. This CASE is from pg. 141 of the New Catty. View the NEW SU Catalog & Idea Book online HERE.

I had someone special in mind for this card, my good friend and fellow SU Demonstrator, Lorri Heiling. Lorri won the SU February Absolutely Alphabet Contest, and her entry was published in the SU onstage publication January - March 2007! WOOHOO!!!! I just got my onstage in the mail today, and was so thrilled for Lorri! I can't think of anyone more deserving! Lorri is an incredibly talented stamper, and an even nicer person! I hope she doesn't see this post, as she'll be receiving this card in the mail within a couple of days! See Lorri's NEW blog, dream BIG, HERE.

Did you notice that both of my cards for this challenge used Cool Caribbean? Do ya' think I'm having a hard time saying goodbye to it?!

Supplies:
Stamps: Happy Everything
Paper: Cool Caribbean, Pretty In Pink, Petals & Paisleys DP
Ink: Cool Caribbean
Embellishments: Pink (Fire) Circle Rhinestone Brad, Aluminum Circle Metal Edge Tag
Tools: 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch, Spring Flower Bouquet Punch
Other Supplies: Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, On Board Accents
Note: Instead of stamping the heart as shown in the catty, I covered On Board Accents Heart with Petals & Paisleys DP and inked the edges of the heart with Cool Caribbean Ink. Simply cut the paper portion of the Aluminum Circle Metal Edge Tag so that only the metal rim shows.
