UPDATE

Dear Blog Readers,

THANK YOU for all the inspiring comments, and most of all your prayers for my daughter Allie. (See this previous post). Since my original post on Wednesday, July 21 Allie has had another surgery ... on Thursday night, they put a plate and six screws in her collar bone, and was released from the hospital on Sunday. It has been a challenge keeping her comfortable, and finding the fine line with the pain meds (taking the pain away vs. loopiness) ... but we are so incredibly happy to have her home and to see progress in her recovery each and every day!

In case you are familiar with auto parts, the piece of steel that came through Allie's windshield was a leafspring from a large truck (possibly a dump truck). It weighs about 40 pounds, and is about 4 ft. long, 3 inches wide, and 1/4" thick. Every single aspect of her accident is a miracle from God! The tears just flow whenever I think about how close to death she was that day. I still don't think I've been able to wrap my brain around all of this.

I won't be stamping or blogging for awhile, as Allie's care and recovery is #1 right now. We are praying to have her ready to go back to school to continue on with her plans ... earlier this summer she was informed that she had passed milestone and accepted into the ASU School of Architecture. She had been working toward that goal all year, and only a select number of students make the program. I'll be back someday when things are more normal. Also, the designer paper, ribbon, and embellishment shares I had planned to offer will be delayed for now.

Your continued prayer on Allie's behalf is greatly appreciated! THANK YOU !!!

A MIRACLE

Dear Readers,

I need your prayers like never before! Yesterday (7/20) at around noon my 18 year old daughter Allie was driving on the I-10 in Phoenix when a 4 ft. steel rod came from nowhere through her windshield and hit her collar bone ... spun her car into a 360 and ended horizontally across three lanes of traffic without touching another vehicle. Allie was rushed to a nearby hospital where they immediately took her to surgery for suspected life-threatening injuries. They feared severe damage to a major artery. Three hours later, we received the most incredible news ... no major damage to a major artery! God is quite the miracle worker!

Allie is still in ICU and we are preparing for another surgery in the next couple of days. They will be putting in two screws to her fractured collar bone. She is bruised, sore, some chipped teeth, and emotionally shaken.

Not knowing whether your child is going to live or die is something I hope no one ever has to experience. Add to this hysteria the fact that my son and I were thousands of miles away in Iowa. We were able to get a flight out and arrive in Phoenix at 1:00 this morning.

Please pray for Allie's recovery, my friends! Today is my birthday and I have received the most incredible gift from God !!! - my daughter! Allie's faith is strong, and she has many loving and supportive family members and friends.

Praise be to God!
Love you all !!!
Love, Nancy

NEW CATTY DESIGNER PAPER, RIBBON & EMBELLISHMENT SHARES COMING SOON!

I'll be gone from blogging for a couple of weeks. My son and I are heading back to Iowa & Nebraska to be with my mom and and other family members. Ideally, I would have liked to have offered some Designer Paper, Ribbon, and Embellishment Shares from the new '10-'11 Idea Book and Catalog about a week or so ago. Unfortunately, this trip came in the midst of that big project. I will be offering those shares when I return, and hope you'll be patient and wait to participate in them! Note that my ribbon shares are going to be catered to the stamper who's been around awhile, and will only include NEW ribbon colors from the catty. If you're like me, you already have most or all of the ribbon colors carried over from last year's catty. If you've participated in my shares in the past, you know that I offer a fast turn-around time with a quality share. Look for my share offers about July 25.

I will truly miss my blogging ... it's been so much fun to be on summer break and able to stamp almost every day! Take care, everybody!
