DESIGNER PAPER and RIBBON SHARES UPDATE

The order for Designer Paper & Ribbon Shares has been placed, and it's on its way to my house. It looks like this weekend will be spent cutting, spooling, packaging, etc., and I plan to get all shares shipped out the beginning of next week (7/18 - 7/19).

Thanks to all who participated! I'm so excited to be getting a sampling of every single piece of new designer paper and select ribbons! There are only a few spots left to fill in the shares. E-mail me if you are interested ... nrileycm@cox.net

CRAZY FOR BALLOONS

Here is yet another card I've created that I'm not completely thrilled with. Boy, am I ever rusty from very little stamping the past year! Ugh! I'm determined to keep plugging along until I have my old mojo back!

This card uses Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try July 2011 and Colour Q Challenge #91 of Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black and Whisper White. The balloon images are from the stamp set, Crazy for Cupcakes, and are paper pieced twice with the top layer raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

The retired Wild Wasabi double stitched grosgrain ribbon is one of the best ribb
ons (in my opinion) that Stampin' Up! has every carried ... love the width, texture, color ... everything about it! It's so easy to work with!

RECIPE
Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Island Oasis DP (retired), Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise, and Whisper White CS
Ink: Basic Black
Embellishments: Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (retired)
Tools: Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Word Window Punch
Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals

MASCULINE JULY BIRTHDAY

Paper Shares and Ribbon Shares groups are filling up fast! Don't miss out! Click HERE for details.I've been anxious to try the inlaid embossing technique. The stars were punched out and adhered to the Whisper White CS, and the sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink .... then run through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. The small Night of Navy star inside the large Basic Gray star was embellished with a silver brad, then raised on dimensionals after the embossing. I used the Colour Q Challenge #91 of Bravo Burgundy, Ruby Red, Night of Navy, Basic Gray and Whisper White. A great easy masculine July birthday card!

RECIPE
Stamps: Phrases for a Friend (retired)
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Ruby Red, Night of Navy, Basic Gray and Whisper White CS
Ink: Night of Navy
Embellishments: Silver Brad
Tools: Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Star Punches
Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals
