Hmmm ... shall I stamp or sleep?

JUNE weSTAMP

Tuesday night was our monthly weSTAMP demonstrator meeting and swap at the home of Lorri Heiling. We made this adorable grill that Lorri designed! Isn't it just the cutest?! A gift card fits perfectly inside. You can purchase the template for this grill HERE on Lorri's blog, Confessions of a Stamping Addict. You've got to see the photos of Lorri's samples ... remember, I'm creatively challenged when stamping with others! ... Lorri's sample is much better! This next totally adorable item was the door prize created by Melissa Sunde, Uptown Creations. Unfortunately, I was not the grand winner of this fabulous cookie jar, but was totally inspired! Melissa used the decor elements chalkboard oval label.
I wasn't able to swap this month so I don't have photos of all the fabulous swaps for our "technique theme". :(

RAKS from LORRI, JEAN & CORIE

I love to receive handmade cards as much as I love to give them! Here are a couple of cards I received from stamping friends during my thyroidectomy recovery two weeks ago.

This first card is from my wonderful friend, Lorri Heiling. Not only did Lorri give me this card, but she brought flowers, a meal for my family, and visited me in the hospital! She is the most thoughtful, giving person I know! If you ever have a chance to meet her, you will pick up on that quality immediately! Her adorable card has a pocket on the inside cover that holds a pack of instant lemonade drink mix! This next card is from my friend, Jean Stayton. Although I don't get to see Jean very often, we follow each other's blogs and always pick up where we left off when we do get together!
I realized the other day that I had never posted this fabulous creation from Corie Foster. Corie sent this to me when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. A beautiful card with a beautiful message!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have I mentioned how happy I am that my summer is finally here? *wink*

CELEBRATE the 4TH OF JULY

Today's card was inspired by a design by Barb Mann ... and also inspired by a couple of online challenges; Stacey Schafer's Curtain Call Color Challenge #36 of Real Red, Night of Navy, Kraft, and Whisper White and Create with Connie and Mary's 4th of July themed challenge (CCMC105).

It's blistering hot here in Phoenix, and I'm really wishing I was back in the Midwest where they know how to celebrate the 4th! On the other hand, I just finished up summer school yesterday, and am just happy to be starting my summer even if it is indoors!

RECIPE
Stamps: Fundamental Phrases
Paper: Real Red Prints DP, Kraft, Night of Navy, Real Red, and Whisper White CS
Ink: Night of Navy
Embellishments: Star Designer Brad, Silver Brad, Night of Navy 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon
Tools: Scallop Border Punch, Star Punch, Large Star Punch, Word Window Punch, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder
Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals
