MY TIME PARISIAN BREEZE VASES IN VOGUE

I could really get used to this summer gig of stamping almost every day! I'm in heaven! This card uses Lauren Meader's My Time To Create Sketch Challenge 33. I've used two retired hostess stamp sets - Vases In Vogue and Best Yet, along with the current Parisian Breeze Designer Paper. The Baja Breeze Corduroy Brads are currently available through the Occasions Mini Catalog.

This is my first attempt
at this kind of ribbon treatment. It took some trial and error, and I still wonder if there is an easier way to do it but I really like the end result! I used a small piece of hemp twine to tie the two ends of ribbon together, then punched a hole through the ribbon and cardstock with my Handheld 1/16" Circle Punch near the tie for the Corduroy Brad to go through.
RECIPE
Stamps: Vases In Vogue (retired), Best Yet (retired)
Paper: Parisian Breeze DP, Kraft, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White CS
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze
Embellishments: Baja Breeze Corduroy Brads, 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon
Tools: Blender Pen, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches
Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals

Nancy this is gorgeous - I LOVE how you put it all together - those buttons are fabulous (speaking of which your SOA buttons went in the mail TODAY!) and the colors are just beautiful. Thanks for playing along!

Love this card Nancy - the colours are just beautiful and I love the simplicity of the design.
The lovely papers and embellishments are just perfect - not too much but with the central image, just enough to produce a stunning card!

I love the Parisian Breeze, so sorry to see it go. just made two cards with it myself. Anyway, this is a fabulous card, not just because of the paper, but I love the paper peicing on the vase and the courdoroy buttons!

This is SPECTACULAR! OMG..just stunning! Love your colors and the brads...the paper pieced (I think...) vase. Great result with the ribbon...I haven't tried tying it with a brad (or hemp and then punching to attach brad), but it looks awesome!!

So glad you were able to play along. Your work is so inspirational!

There is actually an easier way to do it! If you separate the ends of the brad and make it have a flat middle and 2 legs (like a table...but only 2 legs) you then put the brad on top and wrap the legs around. Does that make sense?? I hope so cause what you did sounds like a lot of work! Great card though and I love the color combination!!
