DELICATE POLKA DOT PUNCHES

I've been struggling with this card for days! I think I tried to add a sentiment to it in about every way shape and form I could think of. I've given up and it is what it is.

I used Jen del Muro's fantastic Sketch For You To Try, along with several new items from Sale-A-Bration 2009 - Polka Dot Punches stamp set, Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper, and 5/8" Certainly Celery Poly-Twill Ribbon. Earn FREE stamp sets, designer paper, and/or ribbon bundle for every $50 purchase - no limits! Sale-A-Bration runs from February 1 to March 31, 2009. I'm happy to fill your Stampin' Up! order ... just e-mail me ... nrileycm@cox.net.

Hi Nancy! I'm so blown away that you visited my blog. You're like a celebrity to me - I stalk your blog, and LOVE what you do. This card is fabulous - we have the same SAB sets in NZ, so I'm going to have a go at making one tonight. Instead of sleeping. LOL!
Have a wonderful weekend.

What a sweet card Nancy! It's funny but I have the Delicate Dots DSP but I do not have Polka Dot Punches. I wasn't that fussy about it but seeing your card ... has me thinking!

Totally AWESOME!! I may just have to recreate this (immediately!) to put in my sample Sale-a-bration bin! You ROCK, Nancy!

i think the sketch is the problem, not what you did with it. it's bottom heavy, and i think it could be improved by moving the background mat and the 4 flowers/scallops up so that they're more central. then i'd remove that bottom strip and put the sentiment there.

you didn't ask for this, but that's what i saw when i looked at this. great execution on the various elements. it's just an awkward layout.

I've certainly been there, struggling like mad with a card - yours turned out great, it's ok if sometimes they don't have a sentiment on the front! :-)

Nancy,

I just wanted to say that I LOVE your blog...I go to it daily to see what inspiring creations you've done! I have a suggestion to your sentiment delemma. Did you try putting a one word or small phrase covering up part of the layer where you paper pierced the yellow DP (i.e. the word spring in the center)? Just a thought, either way, it's great!
