RAKS from LORRI and GINNY

This first picture shows you why I've been away from my blog for a few days. As I've mentioned here before, I've been walking around with a painful heel spur since August. I've tried physical therapy and cortisone shots with no improvement. I had surgery the day before Thanksgiving and have pretty much been in bed since. To get around, I'm hopping on one foot with a walker and am very dependent on my husband and kids. THANKS for your well wishes in cyberspace, and to my weSTAMP girls and sister-in-law Norene who have been providing meals for our family this week .... they've been heaven-sent (and delicious too!). This first Happy Thanksgiving card is from my dear friend, Lorri Heiling. Lorri brought this beautiful card over on Thanksgiving Day, along with an entire meal for us! Sounds like she's delivering another one this afternoon. Lorri is one amazing friend! She is the probably the most giving person I know! Bless her heart!

Lorri even made one of the scallop punch turkeys for the outside of the envelope! (Notice that I already ate the peppermint patty!) This next gorgeous card is from fellow weSTAMPer, Ginny Schembri. This Apple Cider designer paper will always be one of my all-time favorites! I love the twill ribbon, buttons, and the way she colored the stamped images!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT day!

Ouch! I have heel spurs on both heels but with therapy and orthotics I can keep mine under control. Hope it doesn't take long for you to be back on your feet.

Hope you are up and about soon. My husband offered to paint flame marks down the side of my walker this summer after my surgery!

OH, just had a thought! You could decorate your walker with rubons!! How neat would that be!

hope you are feeling better soon! I know how frustrating those foot surgerys can be...I had one last year...you don't realize how much you need your feet till you are without!! :)

Hi Nancy... I'm glad to see you are up and about! (I'd say back on your feet, but I better not!) LOL! You are very lucky to have such loving family and friends to help out. Not worrying about meals is such a big relief for sure. I love the cards from you weSTAMP group. So creative... plus I have to chase the Thomas the Turkey for next year. I just checked out Lorri's Blog. :) So lucky to have a friend like her! Chat again soon... Smiles! :)

Oh Nancy! Oh my...I hope you are feeling better by now! What a pain...literally Ü That is a pretty extreme way to get out of cooking!

Best of luck during the healing process. Be a good girl and listen to your Dr.

Many hugs,
Becky

Hi Nancy, I've been lurking on your blog for ages, I just love your designs... and, i wanted to let you know that I sympathise with how you're feeling. I had spurs cut off both my heels when I was about 19. First one foot, then 6 months later, the other. Now 16 years later, I still have trouble wearing shoes with a heel/backstrap in them - but there are so many pretty backless shoes now! I hope you have better luck! Your foot will look pretty scary when that bandage comes off, you'll never have seen so many shades of black, blue, purple and yellow, LOL!
Take care and I hope you're back on your feet soon!
