HOLIDAY STAR BOX

I haven't been posting regularly because I've been hit with the flu bug. YUK! Once I'm back to my 'ol self, I'll be focusing on getting class projects ready for my local customers. My apologies, in advance, for lack of new posts.

I created this Star Box last week (inspired by Fran Sabad's star box HERE), using Wintergreen DP. I'm considering a version of this project for next week's class.

You can find a tutorial for this Star Box HERE. I made mine shorter, measuring 4 3/4" tall.

RECIPE
Stamps: Circle of Friendship
Paper: Wintergreen DP, Whisper White (inside star piece), Soft Sky, Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, and Sage Shadow (medallion)
Ink: Sage Shadow and Always Artichoke
Embellishments: Soft Sky Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Elastic Cord
Tools: Paper Piercing Tool/Mat/Template, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8", 1 1/4", 1", and 1/2" Circle Punches
Supplies: Sticky Strip, Glue Dot

Nancy,
I love this. I'm always amazed at how good your bows look on your projects. I need a lesson on how to make them so pretty. Any secrets?

Spectacular box, especially your tag!!! Please pardon my ignorance, what type of stuff could you put in this kind of box? Or is it just great for decoration?
Something that beautiful doesn't have to be useful, but it just makes it all that much better! :)

nanc--i tried making this but got stumped with how to handle the bottom where you cut triangles out of the strip to make something to attach a base to! yours is beautiful though.
