CHECKING IN ......

I've received many e-mails wondering where I've been and asking if things are OK. My daughter's recovery from her accident (see this post) is coming along very well. She's still doing physical therapy three times a week in hopes of regaining full range of motion in her arm. She has quite a bit of dental work still ahead of her, and isn't driving much yet. She can't wait to return to college in January!

My mom is terminally ill and not doing well. The glioblastoma brain cancer is extremely aggressive, and it's been a year of fighting it with two craniotomy surgeries, radiation treatment, two rounds of chemo, and yet the tumor continues to grow. It's a very sad time.

I haven't had time for, or an interest in, stamping and blogging ... my mind has obviously been elsewhere. I miss it, and know that someday I'll make time for it again.
Thank you for your concern and prayers ... please bear with me .... I'll be back one day. (Also, thank you for your Stampin' Up! orders through my demonstrator website!).

Hugs~
Nancy

I too echo the sentiments from everyone.. my prayers are definitely with you and your family at this time. I just wish there was something I could do to take some of this burden off your shoulders. Take care!

This is truly unbelievable..we're probably the only 2 people reading this that know what a glioblastoma is!! Our 10-year-old son (see: www.spencerswishes.org) passed away from it and now my 56-year-old brother-in-law has just been diagnosed with 5 of them. WITH treatment, his diagnosis is 10 months, which is what our son lived to....so if your mom has already survived a year..what a blessing! Be prayin' for ya,,,big time!!! Pam

I've been praying for your daughter since the accident and through her therapy. And, will now add you mom to my prayer list. There is no need to blog or do anything stamp-wise as long as you have family matters. Just know that we're here when you need us.

Oh Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear about your struggles that are keeping you from the joy of stamping! I'm feeling that way this week myself, but due to far less difficult circumstances. Know that you are loved in this cyber world of stamping and we won't go anywhere... we'll be right here waiting when you make it back. Hugs!!

Hi Nancy. you have my continued prayers for you and your family. It is so hard to be a caregiver for 1 let alone 2. It is exhausing...but you need to have time for you, even 5 minutes of just "you time" and clearing your mind. I miss your iPICKS but you have your priorites where they need to be. I hope you have been able to get to NE to see your Mom.
