A REQUEST and SOME AWARDS

This morning before leaving for work I had a few minutes to read some blogs in my Google Reader. Within that short period of time, I came across two of my designs that had been CASEd (Copy And Steal/Share Everything). Designing cards and sharing them on my blog has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable things I have ever done! I am extremely flattered when my designs are CASEd, but find it very disheartening when my designs are CASEd and posted on another blog without credit given to the original artist. Please continue to visit my blog often, feel free to copy anything you like, but PLEASE acknowledge the original design/designer (preferably with a link to the original post)... it's just proper etiquette.

On another note, I've received some awards from some wonderful blogging friends. THANK YOU!

Nancy, it's not me because I don't even have a blog. However, I can see why stampers would CASE your work because it's beautiful, BUT I'll never understand why one wouldn't give credit where credit is due. That is simply disgusting and there's no excuse for it! Hope they fess up. In the meantime, congratulations on your blog awards. You certainly deserve them! Don't let a few people ruin it for you as no doubt thousands subscribe to your blog. Your creativity is first class!

I second the first post comments. I get your blog sent to me daily and would miss it for the world. When I case someone's work and post it to my blog I give credit. Even if I make a card and someone admires it I say I made it but the idea come from so and so....it's only fair! Nancy don't let this discourage you from sharing with those who appreciate it....BTW how is Mom doing?

I agree too... the only problem I have is that I constantly right click the photos to my IPhoto for reference and if someone hasn't put a watermark on the photo I sometimes can't remember who did it. I still mention it was CASE'd...and I try to keep looking thru my Google reader when I get a chance. The artist deserves the credit...

I've had the same happen to me, and while it's somewhat flattering that someone liked my work enough to copy it, giving proper credit is always appreciated. I think you worded it quite nicely to remind people of this courtesy.
