Just had to sneak another card in this weekend. It's been forever since I've had a chance to participate in Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try Challenge, and was anxious to break in my new Daisies #2 Sissix Die. I love that big, bold daisy! The Daisies #2 die makes three daisy sizes. For my card, I made two of each size then ran them through the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. The Summer Sun Corduroy Brad is the perfect daisy center!
This card will be going to my mom. I started sending her a card a day a few weeks ago but have had a hard time keeping up. (Yes, there goes that full-time day gig I've got going gettin' in the way of my stamping time!). I'm now down to a few cards a week. I want her to know how absolutely fabulous she is while she goes through her radiation treatments!
My card is inspired by this card by Mikki Madden.

Oh this card is awesome Nancy! I have to ditto the sentiments of the embossed daisy just one more added detail.....you are such a loving daughter.
I love it. I am glad that you found inspiration in my card. I really love how you added the textured dots! Great Job!
Nancy, I am a long-time follower of your blog but this is the first time I've taken the time to make a comment. I too had a mom with cancer. During the last year of her life I tried to send her a card a day. Didn't quite get one out every day, but I sent many, many cards all with a little notes and memories from me (I knew she was terminal). After she died I found them all in a special box she kept. They are now a treasure to me. I admire you for what you are doing and hope your mom continues to improve. Your cards will surely lift her spirits. Ros
oh my golly, Nancy! what a clever idea to emboss these daisy die cuts:) LOVE this fun and cheery card!
So so pretty Nancy! Love those textured dots on the daisy! And those flowers- black and white with the fabulous pop of yellow, wonderful! She'll definitely enjoy getting this one in the mail!
Love this card! And how cheered your Mom will be when she sees it! Really enjoy your blog and the exploration to exotic places every week!
Love this Nancy! It's so bright and bold!
Hi Nancy, long time no see :)
I have been surfing trying to get some new ideas for cards. I have always liked yours so, I started way back in June of '07 looking at some of your older cards. I am CASEing some of them, and when I do, I will let you know as they will be up on my blog. But what I really wanted you to know is that I went to Nichole Heady's STUDIO ... or her web page ... at any rate, I have fallen in love with her craft room as it is so similar to my room that I could copy it w/o too much trouble. I just wanted to tell you I am so glad you put that up there on your 'old' blog ... :)
God Bless,
Diana - from weStamp
Hi Nancy, back at ya - I told you that I am 'really' screening your older blogs and cards ... now you have given me another web site to go to ... Chat Wszelaki - I really like her cards too :) Wow, I am having more fun on your older blogs and cards :) hee hee
Blessings,
Diana (from weStamp)
