CUPCAKE MOJO

First, my apologies for the poor lighting in my photos. I'm having to photograph at night - not my first choice for lighting conditions. ETA ... Original photo has been replaced with a new and improved version!

I have been fiddling around with this card on and off for almost a week and finally decided to let it go so I could continue on with other projects. I started out using Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday Sketch #51 but ended up not using one of the layers ... just couldn't get it to work.

Remember this designer paper? Remember my obsession with it last winter? Yep, it's from the retired Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' Kit. I just HAD to try it with this cupcake image from Crazy for Cupcakes! The cupcakes image is stamped in Basic Black and colored in with Pretty In Pink and Bashful Blue Markers. The icing is covered in Diamond Stickles and the cherries are colored in X-mas Red Stickles (non-SU). The sentiment medallion uses the "happy birthday to you" image from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set ... the image is curved making it very easy to create a circle. The cupcake in the medallion was created using the Cupcake Stampin' Around Wheel and colored the same as the other cupcake images.

Thanks for looking!

Oh my gosh!!! You and I must have ESP or something. Without giving away too many details, my GSG swap card is similar in several ways to yours!!!! The colors aren't exactly the same, but somethign I thought I was being original with you did on your card!!! Not sure if you're in that swap with me, but I'll be posting the card to my blog after the swaps are returned so you can see it then. I LOVE your card - the layers are perfect and the DSP from that Scrappin' kit is one of my all-time faves. Take care!

This is so cute...the striped paper with scallop at top reminds me of an awning and your cupcake image looks like the "window" of the little "store front". You always make such adorable cards!
