CHANGE

Dear Stampin' Friends,

Notice the title of this post? ... "CHANGE". I'm finding myself in the midst of alot of change right now (and don't ask me how well I'm handling it! ... you don't want to know!). I've never adapted to change very well, and the older I get the worse I get at it!

On Thursday I'll be starting a full-time job after 13 years of being a SAHM. I'm going kicking & screaming all the way, as I have no idea how I'm going to work full time, keep up with my kids' activities, keep the house clean, cooking, shopping, laundry AND find time for something I LOVE - stamping. I know there's lots of women out there that do it, and I'm sure I'll eventually get the hang of it. Until then, I won't be posting on my blog as frequently as I once did. It makes me sad that I won't be able to nurture my blog like I've done over the past year+. I have many loyal readers and approx. 1,000 subscribers, and don't want to lose a single one of you!

This isn't good-bye ... I just wanted to let you know why I won't be posting as frequently. My heart will be here because this is something I truly love doing, but I can't physically be here as often as I'd like. Surely there's someone out there willing to pay me an hourly wage + benefits to stamp and blog! LOL!

If you're a local customer of mine, I hope to resume monthly classes in September.

Thanks for your friendship, understanding, words of encouragement, and most of all - your prayers.

Stampin' Hugs~
Nancy

Nancy...it is a huge adjustment but you will manage because you have to. Look at the bright side, by you going to work, you may be growing your stamping family by bringing such a wonderful experience to a whole new audience. Looking forward to hearing how things are going when you have the time.

Congrats on the job! I'm with you on the 'no time to create and blog thing' I am going full time this year as a grade 1 teacher, have worked part time for MANY years. I'm sure we'll manage but it is scary!

Best wishes to you Nancy as you start this new chapter in your life. I'm sure it will be a big adjustment for you & your family, but I know you will do well. You always have such a positive outlook on things. The positive here is that you'll have more $$ for stampin goodies! :-)

I can't imagine if I had to return to work now. I have only been a housewife for five years but oh the freedom! There are times I miss going out and being around people ( I can get bored with my own company after awhile) but overall am glad I can stay home. I wish you all the best and will miss your regular posting's but I will still continue to check in every day.

It's amazing how much more we can get done when presented less time to get it done! After our kids are born we discover all we can do in their short naps. You'll master this new time adjustment in no time as well! Best of luck with the new job. We'll be here when you're ready!

Congrats and good luck in your new job. I LOVE your blog and will be thankful for any time you have to commit to it :)! BTW, if you haven't checked out The Fly Lady (flylady.net), do so. She has made a HUGE difference in how I handle home, cleaning, work, etc. Hugs!

I am sorry that life is changing in ways that you don't love. I am a working mom/wife/stamper and it is challenging. I am not going to be in the SU top 100 anytime soon. But, I am okay with that. Several years ago I did a Bible Study about being content and that was helpful for me. Who knows, you may find a new bunch of stamping friends and maybe a % of your new paycheck could be allotted for rubbah! I won't give up your blog. I know exactly how it goes. Since I teach, in the summer I can post daily but during the school year I am not quite so prolific with my posts. You already have a strong base and they know you put out quality information so they will stick by you. Sorry this is so long. Hang in there.

Good luck Nancy! Sending big {{HUGS}} you way! You are awesome at what you do and I know that change is very hard, especially the older one gets (I am the exact same way) but I know you will work it out and make it work for you. I am here and will definately not be going anywhere! Hang in there!

Nancy, I wish you all the best in your new job!!! WOW!! What an adjustment, I totally understand! I know you will make this work for you, you are fabulously talented, and your love of stamping is in everything you do!! Big hugs to you! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex

From one working gal who always wanted to be a SAHM (for 3 beautiful daughters) but never got the opportunity...I totally understand your feelings. I never had a career in mind but, since God chose that path for me, I've done the best I could. Hang in there, Nancy, you'll find your niche. Our prayers are with you as you go through this change in your life...we are behind you 100%.

You'll do great! I know it will be an adjustment juggling everything, but you will find time for all. Sort out the important stuff; get your family to help out more on cleaning and meals... that will give you extra time to STAMP! I'm sticking with you!!

nancy, i can imagine how your mind is spinning, but try your best not to get too ahead of yourself. you'll adjust, and you'll find things you have to let go of, but i know stamping won't be one of those. enlist your family to help with laundry, grocery shopping, housework, and do your best just to close your eyes to what's not important and choose what's really important--time with your family and stamping, of course!

i will pray for you...can i have your address?

I too wish we could get paid for stamping, ideas, etc. Hope your job works out well and remember this, who cares if your house is perfectly clean...what relaxes you more...cleaning house or stamping. I thought so...stamping it is. Cheryl in Reno-Sparks, NV

Hi there - I am just seeing your blog for the first time - it's wonderful.

I work full time too, and I can tell you at first it will be hard, but you will find time for it and it will actually probably get better because you'll have to do so much with less time! Although I can't imagine it being better! :)

You obviously love it and we are all good at squeezing in the things we love.

If you ever need a lift, just give me a shout. I know how you feel.

And PS - Stampin' Up! is the best direct sales company in the world. Thanks for saying it too! :)

Take care.

Good luck with everything! I am a single mom who works full time so I totally understand not having enough time in the day. The biggest time saver for me is to cook in advance - Try once a month cooking - it will really help out with your time management. I have some great recipes if you are interested. arndtjj@yahoo.com

All the best,
