NO DP CRUTCH!

I can't believe it ... two cards ... in two days ... created without my designer paper crutch! BUT ... I did use my other crutches ... challenges! This card is my second case of SCS Featured Stamper FS60, Laura Fredrickson's gallery (scrapnextras on SCS). THIS is Laura's card I chose to case, combined with today's SCS Color Challenge CC160 ... Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal, Mellow Moss, and Creamy Caramel.

RECIPE
Stamps: Bud Basics, "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment from Great Greetings (retired)
Paper: Whisper White, Apricot Appeal, Cameo Coral, Mellow Moss, and Creamy Caramel CS
Ink: Apricot Appeal, Cameo Coral, Mellow Moss, and Creamy Caramel Classic Ink Pads
Embellishments: Apricot Appeal and Mellow Moss Grosgrain Ribbon, Green Ice Circle Rhinestone Brad
Tools: 5-Petal Flower Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch
Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals

Gorgeous card!! YOu made me lol with the "designer paper crutch" comment, I know just what you mean! I tried over the weekend to do a card without it, and I couldn't! I gave up! YOu did a great job making your own background paper!

What a great way to resurrect this wheel! I loved that set and haven't thought of anything to do with just the wheel alone; thanks for showing this great idea!

Fabulous card - love how you used all these wonderful colors!!!

I also have awarded you with the very noble ARTE Y PICO AWARD - which is waiting over on my blog to be picked up!!!

All I can say is that you deserve this one big time!!!

I'm so happy to see your comment about DP. Although I love most of the papers and do have some, I really feel like it lessens the value of a truly homemade card. I also feel that way with the
rub-ons. I just can't get myself to use them. This is just my opinion and not a criticism of anyone's work so please don't take offense, anyone!
