MOM'S BIRTHDAY

Just a quick post today ... technically, I'm still on "vacation" but it's really really hard to stay away! I have plans to do some MAJOR stamping over the next few days ... can't WAIT! John and I are going out to dinner with some friends tonight .... an actual adult night out!

My Mom's birthday is on Christmas Day. I know, you're probably gasping at the thought ... BUT Mom has never really minded it much. When she was a kid, there was no money so the "getting jipped in the gift area" was not an issue, and many people remember her birthday because it's on Christmas Day! It's unique, that's for sure!

This is the card I mailed to my Mom for her birthday. I always try to give her a traditional birthday card ... not a Christmas card. It is a CASE of THIS CARD by Cici510 on SCS. The flower center is an over-sized self-adhesive rhinestone I found in the wedding section of my local Michael's store.

RECIPE
Stamps: Pick A Petal, Warmest Regards
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou, and Whisper White CS, Blue Bayou Prints DP
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou Classic Ink Pads
Embellishments: Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon, Non-SU Self-Adhesive Rhinestone
Tools: Scissors
Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals

Beautiful card! My son's birthday is Jan. 8; and I try to do the same thing about not mixing it with Christmas, although it's a little easier two weeks after. TFS

I love your card Nancy. I have pick a petal stamp set but have yet to use it...I feel over whelmed when I see it. Perhaps I need to attend a workshop using it or just take the time play and face my fear!

Stunning card. I have a cousin with a Christmas day birthday. I always make her a traditional birthday card and she always gets excited when her gifts are not wrapped in holiday paper! Funny thing is I always remember her birthday and sometimes am late with her sisters card - she's born in July!

Happy New Year!

As always your card is GORGEOUS. I have really missed your creations lately and will be glad when you "fall off the wagon again" with your addiction. Hope you are having a wonderful vacation.

This is a gorgeous card!

Your mom and I share a birthday! :)She's very fortunate that most people remember she has a birthday... I always find that people get so caught up in everything that they forget all about me... LOL, not a pity party, just the truth. :) Anyway, hope her day was great!!!
