NANCY MORGAN'S PAPER SMILES GRAND OPENING CHALLENGE, WEEK 2, PSG118

One of my favorite stamping artists, Nancy Morgan, is hosting weekly challenges during the month of November on her blog, Paper Smiles, in celebration of it's Grand Opening. See the goodies she's giving away to the winner HERE.

This card is for Week 2 of Nancy's Grand Opening Challenge (PSG118 on SCS). The rules for this challenge are:
1) Let the Designer Paper do the work for you,
2) Keep it Simple, and
3) Make a general card for someone "just because".
4) Actually give it or mail it to someone ... no more hoarding!

Rule #1 was super easy ... that's what I do with ALL my cards! The "keeping it simple" was the biggest challenge for me. This layout was inspired by Sherri Barron's card on her blog, Fun To Stamp.

I've mailed this off to my mom's cousin and his wife (Terry & Cheryl). They took my mom in last week when she experienced some health problems. I am so thankful they were there for my mom last week when I couldn't be due to my mom living in another state.

RECIPE
Stamps: All Holidays
Paper: Brocade Background DP, Chocolate Chip and River Rock CS
Ink: Chocolate Chip Classic Ink Pad
Embellishments: Always Artichoke 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Green Ice Circle Rhinestone Brad

Nancy, this is just beautiful! The concept of simple is always difficult for me too...you've done it wonderfully with this card. While it may have elements of simplicity, it looks anything but simple. Very, very nice! And your mom's cousin will be blessed when she receives it...that's very, very nice too = )!!

thanks for playing..you're awesome!
