iPICKS

I've missed the past two weeks of iPICKS because since Pinterest changed its format, I don't understand how to copy and paste the html code into a blog post. I've tried various things, and nothing seems to work. If anyone can offer some assistance or helpful hints, I can get iPICKS back up and running again!

    Why do people fix things that aren't broken? I feel your pain, wish I could help. I'll be patiently waiting for you get your picks up and running again, and good luck!

    Hi Nancy, I am not sure how Pinterest worked before but I just logged in and selected a project. When I clicked on it a larger version popped up and to the right there were several choices = one of them being embed. When I click on that a box with the html code appeared. I made sure that it was all highlighted then right clicked on my mouse and chose copy. I then when to Blogger as if I was creating a new post and right clicked on my mouse and chose copy. It does not show as the image right away, but I selected preview and the image was there. Hope this helps.

    Just realized that I did not have the updated Pinterest. I was just prompted to go to the new look and see that the choices are no longer to the right of the image. At the top there is a SHARE button - click that, click on the embed option, right click, ensure all text is selected, select copy and then paste into your blog post.

    Nancy, Could you add a folder labeled I Picks to your Pinterest folders? That way all of your followers could look in that folder. Each week may not be separated, but those of us that follow your I Picks would know what is new. Good luck figuring out how you post. Glad you are ok, just having technical issues.

    Try this: When you find a pic that you want to save on Pinterest, click on the photo to open up a larger version, then right click on the photo, save the pic to your computer or copy it and paste it on your blogger post editor page. Then you can go back to that same Pinterest pic and right click it and select "Copy link address". Go back to your editor page, highlight the photo and click on "Link" in the navigation bar then paste the link into the link window. If you want, you can then add under the pic the source and paste the actual link or instruct people to click on the photo to go to the original website. Hope this helps =) Love your ipicks!!!!

    Hi Nancy,
    I too updated my pinterest.....it took about 2 weeks until I could just right click on a pic and save it straight to my computer. I don't know how or why I couldn't do it before....but now I can. I don't know why they had to mess with it....it was just fine.

    I agree, why do they fix things that are working well? Facebook does that all the time too. :( I LOVE your iPicks Nancy and I am looking forward to you being up and running again!!

    I don't mind waiting either Nancy! I can't help you as I don't do Pinterest! Don't you just HATE IT when they change things like this though? They make things more difficult than they need to be! :)

    Hi Nancy, I was playing around and found that before you 'log in' you can still see pics and pins... at that level, you still have a access to the codes. So that means that when you are done 'pinning' everything you want to post, you need to log out then click on one of your older post or something that would take you back to see older 'pins' and then look for the ones you need and go from there... sorry for all the extra steps but that all I found! :)

    Hi Nancy, I too clicked the update button while in Pinterest and every card lost the html links to the original post by the creator.
    Try to add the html code/address to the description box.
