My beautiful Mom, Carol Ann Olson, lost her battle with brain cancer and passed away on April 12, 2011. I have been away from home since the 8th and am now spending some quiet time at home. Thank you for your kind words and prayers throughout my Mother's illness, and for our family. See my mom's obituary here.

    May you take comfort in knowing that evon though your mom's journey on earth has come to an end, she has gone home to Heaven and received Everything God promised her until one day you will be together again. As each day passes, it is just one day closer until you are together again.

    So sorry to hear about your Mom. I lost my Dad at the age of 63 to brain cancer. That was 18 years ago. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Beautiful memories will always keep her spirit alive.

    Nancy, I e-mailed you but wanted to tell you here as well that I'm thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. Take comfort in happy memories, that is my only advice after going through the loss of my father almost 6 months ago. The heartache never goes away, but slowly you will start to remember more of the happy / healthy times and less of the sad / sick times. Much love to you.

    Nancy, I'm behind in blog reading and just saw your sad posting about the loss of your dear mother (on my birthday no less). She was way. too. young. and looked so vivacious and beautiful in that picture. Hate to even mention the C-word as I lost both my parents that way and also my FIL. It certainly isn't easy losing a loved one but at least you know you did all possible and were there for her. Hang onto the memories and remember that time truly does heal, and support from friends and family helps too. Heartfelt condolences to you & your family!

    Nancy - I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my mom 7 years ago to ovarian cancer and I miss her every day. The best thing I found was to take the time to grieve. I took me some time to realize that it is OK to grieve...and to mss your mom. Many blessings.

    I know every day is difficult for you after the loss of one so dear. But more so I know you are feeling a deeper pain during this weekends celebration. I hope you take some time to mourn your profound lost but also take some time to celebrate the woman that you are because she was your mother.     Nancy, it breaks my heart to hear of your loss. I, too, lost my mom on April 9, 2003, when she was just 55 years old.

I lost my father to lung cancer 3 years ago on Apri 3, 2008 then 3 months later my mother July 9, 2008 to Alzheimers. God Bless!! Phyllis

    I just lost my mom too, on May 13th & the funeral was monday, May 16th.

    I will be praying for you & hope you get your groove back into stamping, etc, as it's good clean healing therapy for us.
