I am rarely able to participate in the Limited Supply Challenge on SCS, and was thrilled to have a chance to tackle it today! Here is the criteria for today's SCS Limited Supply Challenge #197:
1. The only image stamps/embossing you may use are snowflakes. Yup! Only snowflakes (or something that looks like falling snow). No snowmen, snowwomen or anything, just snowflakes! The same goes for patterned paper . . . it must be snowflakes!! (Get the idea?)
2. Your creation must be monochromatic.
3. You need to add some sort of “bling” or sparkle to your card. Stickles, rhinestones, shimmery paper or ribbon . . . make it sparkly!!
4. Last, but certainly not least . . . sentiments may be ONE WORD only!
Originally, I was fiddling around with Baja Breeze as my monochromatic color. Lorri Heiling was over this afternoon delivering another meal provided by the weSTAMP girls (I know! Can you believe it?! They are sooo awesome!) ... when I mentioned the designer paper obstacle. Lorri reminded me of the snowflake paper in last year's Wintergreen designer paper ... BINGO! I shifted gears and ended with this card. It's a whole lot better IRL ... it was really hard to get a good picture of this card! In case you can't tell, Sage Shadow is the monochromatic color, the snowflakes are from Little Felt Flurries in the Holiday Mini Catalog, and the bling is self-adhesive rhinestones in the center of the snowflakes (non-SU). The long Sage Shadow panel behind the snowflakes was run through my Cuttlebug with the Snowflakes Embossing Folder. The one word sentiment "Peace" is from a retired stamp set called Perfect Ending. I used the Scallop Edge Punch along the edge of the card, then pierced a hole in the center of each scallop with a Paper Piercer. Card size is 3 1/4" x 6 1/2".RECIPE
Stamps: "peace" sentiment from Perfect Ending (retired)
Paper: Wintergreen DP, Sage Shadow and Whisper White CS
Ink: Sage Shadow Classic Ink Pad
Embellishments: Little Felt Flurries, Whisper White Tafetta Ribbon, Self-Adhesive Rhinestones (non-SU)
Tools: Scallop Edge Punch, Paper Piercer, Snowflake Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (non-SU), Word Window Punch
Supplies: Stampin' Dimensionals
