  7. My daughter got me into stamping about 2 years ago. I am a SU "hobbiest" demo so that she and I can enjoy this together. She is the one that introduced me to your website as well and I have been a loyal viewer now for several months. Love your style and the great inspiration you give me. You are so generous with all the icandy too. Such fun!

    3) Yes. Your in my Google Reader so anytime you post a comment it comes up.
4)Some of the challenges with lots of layers are difficult to make in a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card. Do you ever make a 5x7? Other than Split coast which fourms do you visit?

  40. Yea! Blog Candy...I love it (haven't had any..but its always fun to play!!) I have been a SU demonstrator for 3 years, but am so underqualified...I pretty much have a group of girls in a club that keeps me going. I don't really know how to get "out there" and have bookings. Thats okay though, I have fun with it. I did just recently start a blog...so I am new to that world too but *confession* I have visited your blog tons! You are so fun and creative... I rarely comment but thanks for all you do! I love your stuff!

  41. I do check your blog frequently...you have INCREDIBLE ideas!!! I am a self-taught card maker and have been doing it for approx. 5-8 years now. I do not do the blog thing for myself, just enjoy perusing others for motivation. No real question (at this moment!) but watch out--!!! That is AWESOME that you have had so many "hits"!!!!

  42. Go Nancy!!!!
I have been stamping for about a year. I joined SU in Feb 08 under the most awesome lady!! I go to your blog daily.
Question: Have you started adoption papers yet? :-)

  43. Hi Nancy!

I am not a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, but I have been stamping for 12 years. I got started at a D.O.T.S. demo party. I got my best friend addicted, too, because that's what friends do! We both said we'd NEVER use Stampin' UP! stamps because you had to cut them and mount them yourself! Now she has about 115 sets, and I have 30! So you can tell we've fallen in love with Stampin' Up! Most of that is due to our local demonstrator who always gives us new ideas and shows us so many things we decide we really want to have! I love your cards -- I check your Blog almost every day! My question is: From where do you get your ideas? Are you just a naturally wonderfully creative person?

  44. Hi! Thanks for the chance to win an icandy and congratulations on 200,000 hits! It's not surprising since you have such a beautiful blog and you sound like a really wonderful person. I'm not really a stamper (I stamp a little here and there, maybe about a year now) but I would love to be a "real stamper" someday. :D
Question: What basic materials should I start with? Since I'm a beginning stamper, what should I use - color pencils, markers, watercolor pencils, chalk, etc?

  170. Congratulations! I have only been stamping for like two days! My future MIL used to stamp and mentioned it to me, so I've been stamping blog obsessed lately, and a couple days ago I borrowed some stuff from her and tried it out for the first time! I've never been to your blog before today. A question I've been having, as a newbie to all this; what kind of markers are best for coloring in stamps? And the most economical!

  171. CONGRATS!!!!!! I have only been stamping a few months. Your blog is one of the first ones I found when I went looking for cards and altered items! I subscribe thru bloglines so so I read every post you make. I would like to be a demonstrator one day.

  180. CONGRATULATIONS on hitting a milestone - you are one popular blogger which is understandable :)

I learned to stamp on my own 10 years ago and my original Christmas cards were a disaster!

I am not a Stampin Up! Demo.

I subscribe to your blog and visit as soon as I receive an email :)

    My questions for you ....

How many hours do you spend stamping in a day or week? How long do you spend writing your blog and visiting other blogs? Do you work outside of the home? Are you involved in community activities?

What are your top three favorite stamp sets? three tools? three accessories (ribbon etc.) and why?

Thanks so much for sharing your talent and creations with us all.

  184. Love you blog and I will share with you that I check it several times a week. Always such cute ideas that get the mind going. I've been stamping for over 5 years now and it's one of my most favorite hobbies. I'm not yet a demonstrator as I am in Nursing school, but it will be my graduation present to myself! I can't wait!! My questions are those of quite the blogging newbie (I don't have my own yet) but what do "CASE" and "RAK" stand for?! I feel so silly but I honestly don't know what they mean!!

Thanks again for being such an inspiration! :)

    Eli :)

I am a SU! demo. I started as a hobby demo about 6 years ago but have been doing stamp camps/classes for about 6 months now.

  192. I have been stamping with SU for about 2 1/2 years. I love SU for its CS, matching inks, and markers. I am a huge fan of wood mounted. I go to your blog on a daily basis to read about your family and also to get ideas for my own cards. I do not sell cards I just love making them and giving them to friends for ocassions or to use for their own personal use. I am not a SU demo, I would rather just buy the stuff from someone else and enjoy playing.

I don't have a question, I would like to just say please keep on blogging and posting the beautiful cards you make.

  200. I love your blog, always full of fresh fun ideas. I am a former SU demonstrator, still addicted and loving SU. I have been stamping since drumb roll 1981..back in the day when stamps were hard to find..we have come a long way....I have over 300 SU sets and when I get a new set, I flip it over on the copier and make a copy of the stamps in the case. I put that in the bottom of the case and that way anybody that uses my stamps knows where to return each stamp. I can also track to make sure everything is back in its place when we are done stamping together.
